Baahh! Fall 2009

Graphite drawing for an editorial-like project last semester. The article expressed that in the wake of growing distrust of larger entities, like the government, banks, and the church, there is a personal distrust growing between most Americans. The idea here was simply that the sheep, usually led astray by wolves in sheep clothing,no longer trust even each other.

This project didn't fully reach completion, but I'm hoping to have some color versions of this done in Photoshop soon.

Happy Birthday

A goofy piece with something of an inside joke made for a friend.

A fox, a head on a plaque, and other stuff

Here are the first of many drawings to come in a knock-off mole-skin I recently got. I like the smoothness of the paper, especially when I use ballpoint. The paper is unfortunately very thin, however, so using both sides of each page is out of the question. Oh well.

A "fennec fox" sketch, done in color pencil because I was having trouble getting myself to draw this particular day. Color pencil kinda made it interesting.

I stared at the page for a couple of minutes before audibly deciding "dragons" to be the theme for the last page. I thought the bumpy character up top would make such a cool hand puppet that I gave him a host arm. I'll be adding more drawings as I make them in my sketchbook. Thanks for stopping by. Jacob
